Low Air map 2023 (folded version)
The LowAir map is a thematic map at a scale of 1:250 000. It contains aeronautical information for the entire Belgian territory and part of the border areas. This map is used for low-altitude navigation and shows information related to the airspace up to 4500 feet during the hours of military operations.
The LowAir map is based on the Topo250 base map with a thematic layer displayed in accordance with the official technical specifications. It includes the information communicated by the Aeronautical Information Publications (AIP) by decision of Belgium and neighboring countries. The data are supplemented by aeronautical obstacles (> 200 feet) collected by NGI or provided by the topographic services of neighboring countries. Obstacles are generic (groups of obstacles may include obstacles up to 1.5 km from the central point).
The LowAir map exists in the Lambert2008 projection and also uses a grid in geographic coordinates and in UTM31. The legend is located in the edge text.
